Our story: on Texas job sites since 2006

Acute Safety was formed in Texas in 2006. We started in Houston, putting HS&E reps on pipeline, drilling and oilfield jobs and teaching crews SafeGulf, SafeLand and H2S classes. Since 2013 we've run Acute from our office at 8700 Crownhill Blvd in San Antonio, led by our president, Clayton Reaser.

That's 20 years of safety reps on the job, on work ranging from an HDD pipeline project in the New York City area to the post-Harvey recovery in Rockport. You'll find a few of those jobs below, along with what clients said about the people we sent.

What is a third-party site safety rep?

An independent safety professional who works on your jobsite for you or your client: running safety meetings, inspecting work, supporting permits and documenting conditions, without you adding a full-time employee.

Do you provide SSHOs for Army Corps (USACE) and NAVFAC projects?

Yes. Tell us the contract's SSHO requirements (EM 385-1-1 40-hour, OSHA 30, years of experience, CHST/CSP) and we'll match someone who meets them.

How fast can someone be on site?

It depends on location, required credentials and site orientation. Call with your start date and we'll give you an honest answer.

How is pricing set?

A flat day rate for up to a 12-hour shift, based on the role you need. Travel or per diem for remote sites is quoted up front. No long-term contract.
